PaperSaver is quick and easy to use!
•  Before spraying documents and keepsakes with PaperSaver, use the PaperSaver pH Testing Pen to determine if papers being considered for treatment actually require it. Draw a small line in an inconspicuous place on the item to be tested (it will be permanent). If it turns yellow, acid is present. If it turns purple, no acid is present.
•  Shake can well before spraying.
•  Place paper or keepsake to be sprayed flat against cardboard or a non-absorbent surface.
•  Keep the aerosol spray tip six to eight inches from the surface. Evenly spray PaperSaver until the surface appears saturated.
•  It is NOT NECESSARY TO TREAT BOTH SIDES OF THE SHEET to deacidify with PaperSaver.
•  Allow sheet to dry thoroughly.
•  Overspray from PaperSaver can be cleaned from nearby surfaces with a damp cloth.
•  DO NOT SPRAY COLOR PHOTOGRAPHS.

Safety First!

IMPORTANT CAUTIONS WHEN USING PAPERSAVER

PaperSaver contains a combination of alkaline oxides and alkaline carbonates that are similar to the contents of over-the-counter antacid medications. While PaperSaver does contain a hydrocarbon carrier and propellants, these are similar to carrier and propellant formulations regularly used in contact adhesives and other spray-on products routinely used for paper conservation and scrapbooking activities. PaperSaver contains no fluorocarbon-based carriers or surfactants which contain fluorocarbons. PaperSaver conforms to ASTM D-4236 and the Federal TSCA.

•  Don’t breathe vapors or spray mist. Use PaperSaver in a well-ventilated area. By opening windows and doors to let fresh air cross-ventilate, you prevent vapor build-up during application and drying. In a laboratory environment, use a fume hood if one is available.
•  Don’t use near heat sources, sparks, open flame, or temperatures above 120 degrees F. Extinguish all sources of ignition and do not smoke while using.
•  Don’t puncture or burn the container. Dispose of properly.
•  If you experience symptoms of overexposure, wear a correctly fitted, NIOSH-approved respirator during and after application. Don’t get PaperSaver in your eyes or on skin or clothing. Wash thoroughly after handling.
